Manchester-based brand Local Space approached me to transform their product images into retro-inspired adverts, drawing from design trends of the past 30 years. The client requested simple, clean backgrounds to ensure the products stood out prominently on social media gallery feeds.
This project required a thoughtful approach to composition, as the client had specific directions for the advert's look and feel. I created multiple iterations to propose striking visuals, and through collaborative feedback, we successfully developed consistent branding that aligned with their vision.
The paper aesthetic was chosen to evoke the feel of vintage newspaper adverts, aligning with the brand's retro appeal and resonating with its customer base. Each piece posed the challenge of creating a unique design, but developing the presets that were ultimately used for the final images was an enjoyable process. Overall, I’m pleased with the outcome, and the client was equally satisfied with how the simple idea proposed during the design brief was brought to life.
