Triple WP

Triple WP is a startup software that helps users create a website within WordPress by simplifying the controls offered within the website and they needed a logo made in time to use for their launch day and I was given the task to do so.

From my understanding, when it comes to the tech industry, the logos that companies use usually are very simplistic, bold, clean, relatable and easily identified so I've used these similar guidelines to help create draft the designs for the logo.

As a design reference, they asked to create a logo that gives off a similar feel to that of the Cloudflare logo which they have said to be a visual identity that is friendly, not intimidating, and incorporates a typeface that reflects cutting-edge tech. So for the first few designs that I sketched, I tried to create a curvy but sharp logo design that was inspired by the Cloudflare logo however it came off as too much of a copy of the reference logo.

I then tried to design in the opposite direction and tried to use to subtract from simple shapes as my approach towards the modern style that the clients want from this project. Since tech companies usually champion logos that are very minimalistic/simplistic I thought that ideas with this in mind might go a long way for this project all I needed was to find a way to fit the design aspects I wanted into the logo design and show said modern approach.

Rolling onto the logomark designs with everything I have done so far helped me decide which direction I wanted to take the design. To achieve the friendly, modern but unintimidating logo that the company was after, I decided on sharp features with a skewed composition for a futuristic approach, curved corners to make the overall design friendly and clear readability so that the name of the company doesn't get muddled up within the design of their logo.

Since the company is called 'Triple WP,' I aimed to incorporate the 'Triple' concept directly into the logo design. One of my initial sketches explored using a triangle as the foundation, symbolizing the idea of three. With the emblem design finalized, the last piece of the puzzle was adding the accompanying text to complete the logo and bring it all together.

For the logomark, I wanted to use more modern typefaces to evoke the feeling of a futuristic company that you can trust. This decision comes from the brand's mission to show that its application is reliable, friendly, and easy to use By adopting clean, sleek typography, I aimed to reflect its forward-thinking ethos while maintaining a sense of trustworthiness that resonates with its target audience.

The typeface not only reflects the brand's futuristic vision but also connects with a tech-savvy audience who value clarity and sophistication. This choice ensures the brand's visual identity remains appealing and relatable to its intended market. Another consideration was the versatility of the typeface. Its simplicity ensures that it scales seamlessly across various platforms, from digital interfaces to print materials, maintaining its impact and legibility.

Here are some other media that I have made with the logo designed.

This project was a challenging yet rewarding experience that pushed me to refine my design skills and think critically about branding in a futuristic context. From choosing the right typeface to aligning the visuals with the brand’s ethos, each decision was an opportunity to grow as a designer. I'm proud of the final outcome and the value it brings to the client’s vision.
